\nThe Mind is a Horse was an unorthodox combination of films, presented within the main gallery at Bloomberg SPACE, which included documentaries about artists, artists\u2019 films, exceptional footage shot during the Second World War, and a one-off live presentation by the artist Cerith Wyn Evans. The large projection wall acted as a fixed forum for a fluid approach to the use of film by artists. The programme consisted of a daily, looped, two hour compilation of films as well as individual weekly evening screenings..<\/p>\n

The different programmes did not follow a predetermined theme or subject. Rather the works were selected with the idea of gathering important, memorable and less familiar material together \u2013 things that have stayed in the mind and won\u2019t go away. The projection wall was, in a simple way, the only fixed element in the exhibition through which material, from a range of background, experience and position, flowed, creating a rhythm that carried the static viewer on a journey through the programme.<\/p>\n
