Join London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE for a free, fun and creative family day to celebrate Open House Festival 2025.

Open House Festival celebrates London’s architecture and hidden spaces. In the City of London, cultural spaces are offering free and engaging experiences for families on 13 September, including Guildhall Art Gallery, London’s Roman Amphitheatre and Dr Johnson’s House. Explore what’s on offer here, or pick up a map of activities from us on the day.

At London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE families are invited to explore Performance of Entrapment, an art installation by Jane and Louise Wilson that investigates ancient shrines and rituals. Take inspiration from the exhibition and craft your own art before visiting the mysterious Temple of Mithras below.

Performance of Entrapment features a film exploring a Japanese shine, Ise Jingu, home to traditional folk dancers, The Emperor’s Sacred Mirror and ancient traditions. Discover the exhibition and take inspiration from the art by crafting your own colourful paper portrait and decorative fan.

Aimed at children aged 5 – 11, but all are welcome.

Either book a 30 minute time slot, or drop in.
