Late Night Tour: Trade and Commerce in Roman London
Thursday 4th June 2026

6:30pm - 7:30pm

Full access information for London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE can be found here.

Step into Roman Londinium for a late-night tour exploring how money and trade shaped life in the ancient city.

Led by an archaeologist from Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA), this exclusive tour explores the site’s 2010–2014 excavation which uncovered the Bloomberg collection of 14,000 Roman artefacts — offering a glimpse into the people who lived, worked and traded here nearly 2,000 years ago.

Through coins, writing tablets, weights, pottery and much more, we will explore how money worked in Roman Britain, what people might have bought and sold, and how trade helped shape the growing city of Londinium.

The evening also includes replica artefact handling and a guided visit to the reconstructed Temple of Mithras, bringing you closer to one of Roman London’s most remarkable archaeological discoveries.

The tour is designed for adults. Accompanying children over 10 years old are welcome with supervision.
