Join London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE for a fun, free and creative family day inspired by the new art installation Folkmoot by Anne Ryan. Explore the exhibition, craft your own artwork and follow a wildlife trail through the space.

Step into Anne Ryan’s colourful installation Folkmoot, where sculptures, paintings and friezes bring together animals, people, ancient objects and stories from London’s past and present. Take inspiration from the artworks to shape and build your own sculptural creation, then follow the wildlife trail to discover birds, beasts and other creatures hidden throughout the installation and among the Roman artefacts on display.

Afterwards, continue your journey beneath the city and discover the atmospheric Temple of Mithras.

Aimed at children aged 5–11, but all ages are welcome.

Grab your little gladiators, put on your helmets and set off to conquer Londinium!

London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE, London Museum and London’s Roman Amphitheatre are joining forces for a fun, interactive family day exploring Roman Londinium. Follow a special trail between historic Roman locations, complete quests along the way and win a prize.

Creative, hands-on and educational activities will be available at each venue. Families can also join a guided walking tour between the sites and travel back 2,000 years to explore the streets of Roman Londinium, from a hidden amphitheatre and mysterious temple to the site of a forgotten river. Along the way, discover stories of gladiators, merchants, soldiers and ancient London.

Aimed at ages 5–11, but all are welcome. You can pick up a map and start your quest at any site with your ticket. Please note that opening hours and last entry times vary between venues.

Please be aware that London Museum activities will be based in London’s Roman Amphitheatre,  activities there will start at 11am.

Join London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE for a free, fun and creative family day to celebrate Open House Festival 2026.

Open House Festival celebrates London’s architecture and hidden spaces. In the City of London, cultural spaces are offering free and engaging experiences for families on 12 September, including Guildhall Art Gallery and London’s Roman Amphitheatre.
